Dark brown, nearly black body. Seedy vanilla bean, fair bit of chocolate, nice mild boozy bourbon bite. Dark fruit, a bit. Touch of marshmallowy sweetness comes out on the finish. Medium bodied, lower carb. Slight slick vanilla and whiskey on finish.

Bottle poured into a Cycle Festival Only glass.

Look- A deep black with just a thin tan head. Seems really dark for Cycle.

Smell- So much awesome bourbon in it. A little vanilla mixed in but the bourbon definitely dominates.

Taste- A smooth bourbon mixed with chocolate and creamy vanilla. This is a great mix.

Feel- Nicely coats the tongue with little carbonation.

Overall- One of the best I have had from Cycle. If you like bourbon, you will enjoy this one.

Missed the draft version of this Cycle 6th Anni Blend 1 while visiting Cycle a year ago during Tampa area Beer Safari. But fortunately was able to grab a bottle to go.
Like the Anni drafts I did have it poured a black/ mahogany edged pour with a brief but attractive creamy tan head. The nose was rich with base old ale style ImpStout and vanilla. Taste mirrored and dark dried fruit, soft medium sweet vanilla, oak and toffee. Delicious. Body was very rich/ full. While smooth it also had a bit of distracting brightness from small element of carbonation. For some it probably attractive; lifting the beer to be a bit refreshing, but for me it just took away what otherwise would have been wonderfully velvety.
Overall it fit as expected with a collection of outstanding vanilla oriented BAIS’.
Had enjoyed drinking a number of them on site. This was a treat to enjoy at home a year later.
