Oh yeah! Brings me back to Huna Week 2014 when I spent a glorious afternoon at Peg’s Cantina with moose3285 downing BA brews. This comes in a 22 oz. bottle. Split with my wife.
Black. Adequate head, if there is such a thing. No, there is. Cocoa powder, anise, mild whiskey & vanilla sweetness on the nose.
Rare DOS has that quality I seek – a rather unique profile. That taste I taste appears to be a slick dance of marshmallow, vanilla, & cream added to a shot of whiskey that’s muted & mixed up in a delicious after-dinner drink. Stirred with a brown sugar straw. Rich & full but not as thick as, say, a cup of chocolate sauce. Just enough booziness to be felt in the midriff but not enough to destroy my typing ability. Yet.
Glad the Cycle taproom isn’t near my house or it’d cut years off my life. This is an excellent beer & the top of its head brushes against the elite.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like sticky marshmallow fluffy, cake frosting, bourbon, chocolate fudge, and coffee.
This is definitely quite sweet, due to the marshmallows here. The base stout is undeniably excellent, with that classic deep fudge/caramel type thing you tend to get from Rare DOS. I'd want more barrel to counteract the sweet vanilla marshmallow fluff tones, but it does undeniably taste good.
This is medium bodied, creamy, silky, and super rich. The mouthfeel might be the best aspect of this one for me.

Insanely good stout. Perfect barrel aging and vanilla combination.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass and a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of marshmallows are present in the nose along with notes of bourbon.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the marshmallow flavors are stronger and there are additional notes of vanilla and sweetness.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and very smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is like a liquid dessert and does a very good job at hiding the alcohol form the taste.
