Bottle at share. Inky black pour with small, thin brown head. Aroma is roasty malts and almonds. taste adds elements of chocolate and vanilla, light cinnamon. A real dessert feel to this.

Nearly opaque black body crowned with a somewhat thin yet persistent and creamy, khaki hued head. Enticingly rich smell; cocoa and nuts; a strange and alluring booziness on the nose, too. A wonderful taste; rich and flavorful, full of melted chocolate and cocoa with a bit of light nut flavor; dull sweetness intermingled with almond. Heavy body; thick, slick, and oily; huge residual sugar presence; gently coats the palate with an enjoyable sweetness.
This beautiful beer exudes richness and lushness, balance and complexity. The barrel-aging and almond sliver aging are masterfully done.
Poured out at 63 °F; no bottle dating information on the label.

Brownish black body with a brown collar. Bourbon nose with fudge and light almond accents. Bourbon almond joy for the taste, hints of anise and more nuttiness as it warms, slight molasses too. Feel is very warm, nutty, chewy, viscous, yet oh so smooth. Delicious technical work with almond and barrel.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a short beige colored head that quickly settled down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of almonds are present in the nose along with notes of chocolate and bourbon.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of almonds along with notes of bourbon and hints of dark chocolate.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this stout to be quite easy to drink considering its strength.
