Quite surprised by this one. Dark pour, tannish head and lacing that is more prevalent when poured at room temp. Smell is very strong strawberry with mild bourbon undertones. Taste is where the surprise comes in, as it’s much more complex than expected. While it is very strawberry forward, there are also notes of chocolate and vanilla. The barrel is assertive, with even a hint of smokiness, and there’s a strong roasty dark malt base to it all. A bit thick and syrupy, with a subtle alcohol presence for such a high abv. Bought this on a lark, but I’d gladly try any of their single adjunct cuvées again.

Dark black body, nice base beer and barrel. Medium boozy, chocolate fudge, a fair bit of strawberry but clashes a bit with the base milk chocolate, and is even a little tart. Medium body, good carbonation. Not thin. Needs some sweet adjuncts added.

Deep, dark brown body; fizzy head, thin and wispy with very little retention; as the beer warms up, a more thin, sparse, and creamy head makes an appearance. Mild charred grain notes with a whiff of strawberry sweetness on the nose. The taste amplifies the smell with some additional punch from the alcohol presence. Heavy body; lush and viscous; sweet and sticky.
Ah, a big Cycle stout aged on strawberries. This is a well-crafted and delicious beer.

Viscous black pour with a thin tan ring. Bourbon soaked strawberry lead the nose, mild semi-sweet chocolate, oak and molasses support. Taste is boozy chocolate covered strawberry, but as it warms it starts to break down on the finish, no depth beyond this triad. Feel is boozy, medium bodied, viscous to almost syrupy but then some mild carbonation tames. If you are digging the bourbon and strawberry/chocolate combination then you will love this as it does that combo well

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a narrow collar of tan bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of strawberries and bourbon are present in the nose along with notes of vanilla.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of strawberries and chocolate along with notes of bourbon and associated hints of vanilla.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and smooth on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The strawberry and bourbon is definitely an unusual combination, but this drinks surprisingly well for something that is 11% abv.

Bottle from last night's share. Copper colored pour, a few bubbles. Tart aroma, cherries. Cherries are a bit muted in the taste, plenty of tartness, lots of Belgian Flanders accents. Nice.
