One of a pair of collaborative brews made with Monkish Brewing featuring our most decadent, thickest barrel-aged imperial stout we have ever made. This barrel-aged bomb is loaded with caramelized banana aromas and flavor all covered in sweet chocolate.

poured from a 22oz bomber into a TG DBA tumbler. pours a thick, syrupy black goop (like used motor oil) with virtual no head. strong barrel with faint chocolate and some banana in the background. it really is a bourbon-soaked chocolate-covered banana but the banana is just there enough (for me) to detract from the rich chocolate and bourbon / oak notes. it has a thick, syrupy mouthfeel with a low level of carbonation. the base stouts with these collabs is super impressive. rich, thick and chocolaty but the adjunct choices befuddle me.. it’s fun to go out on a limb but these could have been so much better. still, enjoyable beer and the concept behind them was fun.
