This one sounds interesting - stout with caramelized syrup.

Look - Pours a dark blackish brown color with a dark brown head that disappears very quickly.

Smell - I smell a good bit of the barrel aging. And some sweetness that is likely the caramelized syrup.

Taste - Taste is also heavy on the barrel aging plus some sweetness from the caramelized syrup, and malt. It's decent, but not as good as it sounds to me.

Feel - Feels nice; this is only 12.5%ABV so it goes down easy. Again, just a bit heavy to me on the barrel aging.

Overall - A decent stout, though I personally didn't find it as good as it sounds.

Standard stout appearance. Strong scents of maple, chocolate, and coffee on top of dark roasted malt and mild oakiness from the barrel. Taste is strong syrup, mild notes of the above mentioned flavors. In terms of feel, Cycle BA stouts are often thick and syrupy. Especially when they have syrup. Well disguised alcohol presence. Very good.

poured from a 22oz bomber into a TG DBA tumbler. pours thick jet black with less than a finger of mocha brown foam head. bourbon, barrel char, chocolate, caramel and light vanilla on the nose. taste follows. i almost get like a chocolate chip cookie dough but covered in bourbon aroma as it warms. it’s thick and sticky. coats the mouth. really good. not massively complex but crazy drinkable. i dig it.
