Tar black opaque body, brown ring is the only semblance of a head. Aromas of rye, leather, blackstrap molasses, bourbon, rich dark chocolate and dark wood. Taste removes some of the molasses and replaces it with raisin and a touch of vanilla. Feel is heavy, thick, warm, with a slight chew to the finish

Oh, you strong. Boozy, syrupy, just a quintessential barrel aged stout. Overpower it with the barrel. Make it obnoxiously thick and boozy and you got it.

poured from a 750mL bomber into a snifter. pours thick black with little to no foam. cocoa and bourbon on the nose. it’s a little sweeter chocolate in the taste with bourbon and oak rounding things out. full mouthfeel, not crazy thick but definitely not thin. this is solid but i always feel like cycle BA imperial stouts need the additives in them. this was still solid though.
