Very dark brown opaque body with a light brown thick collar. Aromas of deep caramel, barley and bourbon, with earth, toffee, dark fruit and a hint of cocoa. Taste is much the same, sweeter so it is a barrel candy BW but it is well done with good warmth to meld the sweet elements into the barrel and barley. Great barrel character and barley textures yet smooth and large overall, thick for style, thin for cycle, lol.

 

 

Sweet caramelized brown sugar, raisin bran cereal malty, and an oak barrel, bourbon boozy nose on this one! Taste follows exactly with those sweet brown sugar and dark fruit notes upfront...and then a subtle bourbon barrel finish. I prefer this one over CtC (Blanton's). This is pretty good!

Very stout like for a Barleywine. Thick, boozy, sweet, strong barrel presence. Has all the characteristics I love in the style, just strong and flavorful and bourbon packed. Awesome.
