This one settles after a few hours in the glass (it helps dozing off around 9:15 before you finish it), because it’s got a really assertively sweet coconut presence when freshly poured. There’s the right amount of coffee bitterness to offset it, but it’s definitely a flavor bomb. The barrel is no weak sister, either. A bit on the oily and thick side of a finish, big bodied, and definitely boozy. Another winner of the Mondays from Cycle. I’ll miss that day from them most of all.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Mikerphone tumbler. Pours a thick and oily black with minimal foam head. Rich chocolate and sweet coconut eith some slightly bitter coffee to cut the sweetness on both the nose and taste. I get more coffee on the nose than the taste and more sweet coconut in the taste. Thick mouthfeel. Coconut slickness to it. Cycle reigns supreme again. Delicious.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and basically no lacing.

This smells very strongly barrel forward and slightly boozy, with toasted coconut, and roasty coffee.

This promised a super boozy and strong experience on the nose, but the palate is tamer. There’s definitely a ton of barrel here, from the 3 year-ish time in the wood. The roasty and dark chocolatey quality of the stout melds well with the roasty coffee, and the heavy duty char, oak, and spicy bourbon of the barrel. The coconut comes in with some needed sweetness on the finish, helping balance this well.

This is medium bodied, not super thick, but definitely not thin, with a nice drinkability.

I’m sad that Cycle seems to be either closing or significantly cycling themselves back, as they are clearly still making very tasty beers.
