Opaque, dark brown pour; no head. Incredible roasted grain and nuts aroma; grain char; coffee-like element; toasted coconut. Amazing flavors; rich dark chocolate and fudge; burnt coconut; deep vanilla and caramel notes; whiskey. Unbelievable mouthfeel; dense and viscous; sludgy and slippery; near resinous residual sugars coat the palate; sticky; subliminal boozy warmth.
While Cycle Brewing appears to be history, this (I believe) final edition of Thursday is truly remarkable. Cycle's big imperial stouts always have shown little carbonation and head, yet the smell, taste, and mouthfeel aspects have always been above and beyond to most of its competition. This beer is no exception. This beer is a beautiful testament to the art of big beers that the brewery excelled at.
ABV: n/a (assumed 12% or so); pouring temperature: 53.0 °F; bottling info: 2025

Absolutely fabulous stout with a hint of coconut. My keg pour had low head. Mid level sweetness and slightly sticky. Mid char and smells beautiful.

Board pitch black opaque body with a short-lived brown cap. Smell is laced with hazelnut, bourbon, coconut, and chocolate fudge support. Taste has more balance with all of the notes mentioned in the nose, hazelnut is more roasty. Feel is thick and sticky yet so smooth, warm and chewy, slight booze leakage as it warms up.

Poured from a 22oz bomber into a Courtyard & Cellar mini snifter. Pours a thick black with lots of coconut floaties on top. Rich chocolate and hazelnut up front on the nose. Some barrel and coconut in the background. Taste has more coconut in addition to the chocolate and hazelnut. Barrel on the finish as it warms. Full mouthfeel. Slick and coats the mouth. Cycle in the king of hazelnut.
