Get ready for a hazy head-trip when one experiences the far-out flavor and aroma sensation created in Hippy Haze. Wild Ride Brewing uses extreme hop flower power by combining Citra, Mosaic, Meridian, and Denali hops to create citrus and pineapple flavors and aromas. This new age fad is one groovy beer.

Look: Semi-cloudy medium orange on the pour which yields a huge, billowing head that eventually settles to a pillow, leaving webs of lacing behind
Aroma: Cantaloupe melon, mango, sugar-dusted strawberries, overripe nectarine, light pineapple, and sweet bready malt
Taste: Starts out with a punch of pineapple and mango, reminiscent of a tropical fruit smoothie before being joined by pungent, overripe nectarines. Some melon and light berry peek in amongst the rest briefly but pineapple, mango, and nectarine are main event through the close
Mouthfeel: Full, soft, medium-high carbonation, and soft on the finish
Overall: I dig it. This hazy is aight and has an interesting combo of flavors/aromas going on that make it unique. All other style boxes are checked here and although good, easy to drink, and with a unique mix of flavors, doesn’t do much to set itself apart from all the other hazies in a sea full of them

they nailed this, a really pleasant hazy here with a distinctive hop profile despite the fact that its still packed with citra and mosaic. the addition of meridian and denali makes it unique in a samey space, and the execution is good, not too hazy or heavy, no weird yeastiness, not hopped enough to be vegetal or harsh, so real appealing in a style space i am getting a little fatigued on. honey colored and not thick at all, fizzy headed from the tap, softly cloudy but still lively looking. the hops in the aroma and flavor of this have a definite berry note, lemon too, juicy pineapple and white peach, and bitterness is kept very low so the fruitiness really pops for me. juicy orange notes, canned pineapple, nothing catty this time around from the mosaic, a light green herbal notes and some pine as it warms, a little resinous but not crazy dank or sticky or anything, and with just a little fruity linger on the swallow. some fuller malt to this, maybe a slightly toasted note, a touch of honey sweetness bringing balance, but not weighing this down at all, plenty of bubbles to keep it brisk too. nice brew here, good and fresh, a bit unique on the hops which i love, the denali and meridian additions do a lot to make this stand out, and overall the beer is drinkable for the style, slightly tropical and summery, and among their best.

6oz sample glass at the brewery.

Pours moderately hazy, light amber, with a small head. Smell is a little fresh hop and a lot of pot. Some pine.

Taste is fresh hop, honey sweetness, mild pine. Dank, but not too much so.

Mouthfeel is smooth, dry, and light. Overall, very nice.

Wonderful NE style IPA from a brewery that’s new to me. No date printed on can. Looks fantastic, lighter orange-yellow color with a little haze and has a great fluffy white head with soapy coral-like sheets of lingering lacing that lasted forever. Smells of nice ripe tropical fruit - grapefruit, mango, pineapple, orange, melon - as well as malt, creamy vanilla, bread, weaker floral notes. Taste follows the nose, extremely good balance between the hops and sweeter malt backbone. Juicy and flavorful. Excellent mouthfeel, slightly soft and creamy and great carbonation. A real pleasure!
