Fresh on tap this was better than expected from the previous ratings. There is a spiced malty sweetness that is unique and quite delicious.

16oz undated can poured into a dimpled mug at just above fridge temp 5.8% ABV per label. The beer pours bright light copper in color with light khaki head. The head builds quickly and settles to a big cap. The aroma is mild with sweet caramel malt dominating. The taste is semisweet caramel with a nutty & earthy undertone. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a somewhat dry finish. Cleanly lagered. Overall, ok. Too much caramel malt for me to score it higher. Decent for the Americanized subset of Oktoberfest beers.

Chilly water brews some very good German style beers, and this is no exception.
Malty lager smell with a dark lager color, ring of lasting carbonation around the glass. Drank it in a tulip cause that's what I had clean. Got a growler fill for $7 on Wednesday.
Taste is very good, super quaffable. Sweet maltiness hits you followed by a nice blend of spice flavors that lingers as the sweetness comes back in on the aftertaste. The spice is palpable in this beer it's so good at the time of writing this. The beer has a nice mouthfeel and is very clean, but full-bodied.
