I will admit that 5 days of pregaming the ‘unusual suspects annual beer & baseball trip’ might have been a bit ambitious, it’s true (It’s day 4 and I’m already a bit ruddy). Still in in in in Indy, having grabbed a rental at the airport and driven up from Louisville this morning, before heading out to Cincy tonight (before Cleveland, Ann Arbor, and Detroit happens later in the week, of course), but beer here in the near now is what’s going on…
Through the outdoor seating in, and to the rear. Dark wood slat under laminate topped straight bar and a vertical wood base. Seating for 9 on cushioned stools. White subway tile barback wall holds 12 non-descript knob handles on an inlayed stainless panel. 3x4 horizontal letter board above it listing draft & canned selections mixed (beer, style, ABV, pricing for 5oz taster, 8oz shorty, & 16oz full pour, + crowl & growl. Flats to both sides showing a Cubs & Reds game; we being in the middle of all that. Crowl crimper countered, glassware shelved below the bar, and merch & beer to go cooler on the end.
Slab concrete floors, and a vaulted ceiling up front with large panel windows, strung lighting, and a-many potted plants running the sills on the front wall of panel windows. Drop lanterns tracing the bar and wider ones over the floor. Back corner wall is done up with old album covers, and framed gold, silver, & bronze record awards for beers won at the Indiana State Brewer’s Cup. Really cool Garcia piece done up with old records. It’s b/w, it’s 3D, and it makes up for them naming a beer ‘Built to Last’. Dangling award medals fronting a window offering brew room views. And I like the ‘Live, Laugh, Lager’ piece, too. Framed display of 70+/- Grateful Dead tickets from the early to mid 90’s shows. 18 mix & match tables inside, plastic & wood, high & low & picnic, + a dozen more outside in front of the brewery sidewalked and in the pen below a sprawling below a sprawling ‘Grateful Deadesque skeleton with a beer’ piece on 5 rusted metal panels.
13 beers up between keg & can, mostly a mix of Lager & hoppy, and then a few other things (Built to Last, German Pilsner, 4.7%; Santeria, Light Mexican Lager, 4.6%; Oktoberfest, Marzen Lager, 5.8%; Luthier Lager, Spruce Aged Czech Lager, 5.1%; Coffee & Cigarettes, Java Smoked Lager, 6%; Loose Juicy, DDH Juicy Pale Ale, 5.8%; Little Wing, Session IPA, 4.9%; One Hop Wonder, IPA, 6.9%; Blood on the Tracks, Blood Orange IPA, 7.4%; Landslide, Juicy Peach IPA, 7.5%; Gose Rider, Guava Tart Ale, 4.8%; Team Builder, Grapefruit Radler, 3.1%; Harvest Moon, Autumn Spiced Ale, 6%).
Okay, the Coffee & Cigarettes Java Smoked Lager was strangely that. Coffee nose and right up front but the campfire is there, too. I am of the opinion that putting coffee in a beer other than a Stout, or by special permission, a Porter, should be unlawful. Coffe and then smoke on top of that, I'm not feeling that. The Oktoberfest was tasty, though. And Built to Last German Pilsner, yeah, that was win.
Chill place Sunday early afternoon. We split the brewer’s plate (meat, cheese, pickles, amazing toast points) as we were locked into stupidface brunch menu hours. Cool merchings. They’ve got a “Dark Side of the Munich’ (Dunkel) prism shirt. Why the fuck didn’t I buy that? Had a couple of good beers here. Would have liked another beer or two but it has been and will continue to be a long day with a lot going on.

Stumbled in here (literally) after hitting Metazoa. It was very quiet on a Sunday evening. Open and modern interior, good service. Don't remember much else (did I eat? Not sure)

Nice brewery in Fountain Square. The outside looks really cool and has picnic seating on a picturesque roadside part of hipster part of town. Inside is a bit small with limited seating, but it’s an ok vibe and there’s a window to see the beer tanks. They do European style beers very accurately to style, and I would say that is the strength of this establishment. However, they also have a nice blood orange IPA. Overall worth a stop if you are in the area.

A nice place that makes a shockingly good maple stout. I'm not sure why they don't bottle it and have people line up to get it. It was better than KBS. For real. The place is nice and they were pretty attentive, even though it was late and freezing cold. Not a bad spot to check out in Indy.

Somewhat of a small brewpub with both indoor and outdoor seating. Fairly loud due to the small space, which fills up quickly. Service and food were both excellent with quick service and excellent flavors. Selection of both beer and food is fairly extensive with a bit of everything in order to target various tastes. A number of tvs are around for sports viewing which is especially nice.

Brewery and taproom located in the Fletcher Place neighborhood of downtown Indy. Not huge on the inside but there's also outdoor patio seating when the weather's nice. Fun place to grab a beer before or after hitting some of the nice food spots in the area. The brewery's music theme leads to cool beer names like "Blood on the Tracks". Underrated spot to grab a beer in Indy.

Stop #430 on my world brewery tour.
I grew up in Indy when Fountain Square was a bit more run down. CW is in a gentrified area with new construction with retail and living. Very nice space, albeit a bit small for what I would imagine is a brewery on the grow.
I had a flight and the Pilsner jumped out at me for being very well done. Doubled down on a pint of the IPA which was good.
We sat inside while most others were out on the sidewalk patio.
Jam band music at the appropriate volume if that's not your thing (String Cheese Incident show during our visit).
Nice place but still looking for an exceptional, go-to brewpub in Indy.

Had a great time here last night! Excellent duo playing music, friendly staff, and the flatbread sandwich (ring of fire) was fantastic! Not a huge menu, but the few things they have all look good.
Very clean and has patio seating.
Not a lot of room, so busy but cozy. Server brought the wrong side and took a while to fix it. I also wish there were dark ales brewed.
