This is a light and approachable, easy drinking summer beer. Had fresh on tap at the brewery. Pours a light straw yellow. Nice white head settles into a thick ring of foam around the rim. Aroma is faint, but has notes of yeast and clove. Tastes fresh with notes of banana, bread, and clove. The feel is a bit watery for my preference, but it is really easy drinking on a hot day. Overall I’m confused that the rating is so low. I had it right after a Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier and it held up surprisingly well. This would be perfect for people who don’t like the bitter flavors of IPAs and want a refreshing; easy drinking beer.

On tap into a small Hefeweizen glass
A - Beer arrived at the table with a thick foamy head that is 2 fingers in heights and is white with a slight off white color to it in places. The head dissipates slowly to a rockiness. The beer itself is cloudy and golden wheat colored with light to moderate carbonation visible in the form of small bubbles rising moderately quickly toward the surface. 4/5
S - The aroma is very heavy on banana and clove, even more so than the typical Hef. Orange and caramel come out as well but anything else is hard to pick out beyond the banana and clove yeast esters. 3.25/5
T - Light sweet caramel malt comes out right off the bat but quickly transitions into banana, clove, and orange peel (just like the aroma). There is a bit of floral hops that play along with the banana and clove but once again the yeast esters are by far the strongest notes and drown out all else. 3.5/5
M - Very smooth and wet throughout. Easily coats the tongue from front to back and leaves the palate wet upon swallowing. Lightly carbonated with just a carbonation tickle up front. Medium bodied. 4/5
O - If the banana and clove were to be toned down a bit I could easily come back to this one and thoroughly enjoy it but those two flavors are so overpowering that they make for a fairly unbalanced, singularly focused beer. Very sweet and spicy with little bitterness to counteract that sweetness. 3.5/5
