One Hop Wonder IPA pours pale, with a little head. Aroma is weak, a hint of grain. Flavor is more grain forward, bitter finish. Good body and feel.

This one hop wonder is a bit one note. Not a great IPA, but it fits in with what they are doing and compliments the lagers and Wits and Kolches on tap. It would be a bit disappointing in a can with the expectation of an IPA, but is great really fresh at the brewery in the context of a fun day of drinking the line up of beers at the brewery. I’m not a fan of the straw yellow look in an IPA. The best thing about the appearance is the thick and abundant white head, which has excellent retention. I find the piney smell ok but a bit off putting. Tastes crisp and refreshing for an IPA. Very piney flavor, without much citrus. There is bitter grapefruit, but not the sweetness or fruitiness to round it out. Overall it is a something different and a good transition after drinking some of the lagers and pilsners at the brewery.

Had this on tap at the brew pub.
Overall it was definitely one of the better Indy-based IPAs that I have had. The aroma was hoppy, slightly grapefruit. The taste is not as hoppy as the aroma but grapefruit and citrus tones are strong enough to give the beer character. Malt representation is low, which is more my style.
I'd order again for sure.
