Easy drinking, has some barrel flavor but not much. Low on alcohol. Fairly light feel.

Small-to-medium brown head does not linger long. Dark as you'd expect a porter to be. Coconut comes through with basic porter aroma, perhaps some vanilla. Taste compliments aroma with a stronger coconut flavor, low carbonation.
I tried this beer on tap because I'd never tried a coconut beer before. A friend said the coconut was more mellow.

12oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.
Very dark brew, thin off-white lacing on top stays around for a while. Nice mix of unsweetened chocolate, roasted grain, faint coconut, suggestions of coffee and mild carcoal in the nose. Smooth with a lush crispness. Coconut lays down a mild sweetness that goes up against some cacao nibs and come other chocolate-like and roasted flavors from the malt. Modest hopping, hint of alcohol goes a little fruit with a hint of black currants. All in all pretty damn tasty, the the balance here.
