pretty much everyone thinks the can make a sour mashed or kettle soured beer these days, and for the most part they are right. its not hard at all, and we are seeing these spring up like crazy. they arent all good, but this one is pretty good. some would call it amateurish, but i like its intense lacto profile and buckety funk, its so much less clean and refined than others, and i like its rustic elements, although i know (or am mostly certain) this is a happy accident of reckless experimenting. clear for the style, very light in body for how dynamic the yeast profile is, and overall a really solid beer. there are flaws for sure, but the seem to help more than they hurt in this happy accident of a brew. carbonation is awesome, this is super refreshing, but maybe a point or so high on the abv for where i like the gose to sit. definitely their most adventurous beer on the menu, i hope they keep moving in this direction and pushing the boundary with beers like this. its not perfect, but its a lot of fun.
