Cherry red body (from Red X malt); dense, creamy, pink head; thin yet dense sheet if foam paints the glass. Wheat and strawberry nose. Unique flavor; thin grain taste with a robust hop bitterness. Medium body; soft graininess; moderately dry overall.
This is a different kind of IPA a good way. It's not old school west coast or English, and it sure isn't a New England or pastry / fruited IPA. The Red X malt certainly is the key here.
Enjoyed at the brewery on tap.
