Can. Very dark brown. Thick frothy and tan head which lasts for some time.
High cocoa dark chocolate aroma.
Taste converts to milk chocolate. Lactose sweetness prevails. A little vanilla. Ovaltine.
Smooth. Medium high body.
A bit too sweet for my liking.

Can poured into 2/3 pint glass.
By miles the best beer I've had from Drygate. Looks like any other medium ABV breakfast stout on the market. Loads of coffee (instant) on the nose with more coffee, chocolate and tonnes of creamy vanilla on the taste. Decent mouthfeel and overall one of the better UK breakfast stouts that I've tried. Would have scored a little higher if it hadn't all become a little "artificial" tasting as it warmed

33 cl can retrieved from Edinburgh.
Pours a murky brown with a very good head.
Plenty of coffee in the aroma and even more in the flavor. The coffee component is a bit more like coffee grinds rather than fine espresso but not bad. The coffee does strongly dominate the flavor, allowing just faint dark bread notes. Good, near neutral, bitter-sweet balance. Medium-full body with near medium carbonation.

330ml Bottle from Good Sprits Co. Wine & Beer, Glasgow (£2.60):
Best so far from Drygate, apparently they know how to brew non-IPA's too. Dark roasted flavours but it had more sweetness than I'd anticipated with a lot of vanilla & some nice caramel coming through on top of the coffee & chocolate base. The was some touches of sugar & it was well balanced, smooth & easy to drink with a creamy feel. I really enjoyed this one, it's just a shame it's a limited release from Drygate.
