12 oz can from brewery. Copper colored pour with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma is brown bread, caramel, gingerbread. Taste is malty sweet, brown bread, raisins. Super quick finish. Really fades to nothing quite fast

A: The beer is clear red in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high dense off white head that died down but never completely faded away.
S: Moderate aromas of brown and toasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste is quite malty and predominantly has flavors of toasted malts. Neither sweetness nor bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and rather smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This bock was nice and malty and did an excellent job at masking any traces of sweetness.

This is a clear, bright copper Bock. SRM 12-13. A two-inch, off-white, fizzy head quickly retreats and crackles to zero within a minute. There is no lace. A thin, viscous film is deposited and falls with each sip from a PBGC Pub Pint glass.

The aroma is initially strong with caramel, followed by toast. It is quite sweet, with lots of mixed nuts. Warmth draws out some vanilla.

The sweetness is controlled by bitterness. Caramel and light toast are obvious. Again vanilla shows up with warmth. Light astringency accents a modest, lingering finish.

This one has a medium body with alcohol below expectations. High carbonation accentuates a hard, woolly texture.
This is kind of a Charlie Brown beer, that is decent after work.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden auburn color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy sheets of lace on the glass. It smelled of roasted malt, coffee and earthy notes. Sweet toffee and malt taste with hints of coffee and spices.

On tap at Resurgence Brewing Company in Buffalo, NY.

This one pours a lightly golden amber color, with a small head, and a good bit of lacing.

This smells like lightly toasted bread, honey, caramel, licorice, and nuttiness.

This doesn't exactly feel super traditional, but it's tasty enough. It's a bit too sweet as the style goes, with notes of caramel and honey, and not enough toastiness from the malt to balance that. There's also basically no hop character. To be fair, this is still tasty, it just feels a touch inartful.

This is creamy, and light bodied, with a great drinkablity.

I like this for sure, it's just a bit flawed and not really to style.

On tap at the anchor bar in Buffalo. The wings were great, the beer there... not so much.

The beer pours a pretty dark brown color with light head retention and fair lacing. On the nose, you can tell right off this beer is going to be pretty sweet and malty. There's considerable brown sugar and caramel, with noticeable vanilla as well. The flavor profile is more of the same, though there's a hint to dark chocolate and licorice to give it a bit more backbone. Mouthfeel is medium bodied in this fairly sweet bock, and the finish was fairly long and pretty sweet. Shrug. Not an awful beer, but when my wife indicated she was ready to leave with half the glass left to go, I had no trouble jumping up and leaving the rest of my beer undrunk. Pretty sure I won't need to try this one again.
