We visited in the spring of 2024 with our pups, Bob and Ranger. Huge place with plenty of seating. Food was good and the beers I had were all good. As fo the service, we sat in the patio area so we had to go to the bar to place our order. Bartender was very knowledgeable and set me up with a really good flight. Overall we enjoyed our visit and will be back.

New facility in Canalside area of Buffalo. Neat and clean looking glass and steel construction, kind of industrial looking. Quiet when I was there, but looks like it can handle a crowd. Knowledgable staff, quick, friendly service. Relatively small tap list, good variety. Canned product available to go. Not far from Old First Ward.

Up and outstate, as this end of New York is. Winding down a long damn day that kicked out of Rochester, we’re rolling ‘round in Buffalo, yo. Tomorrow we see Big Dog but tonight we’re down town in the now. Massive goddamn building in a row of I don’t know what ‘cause I didn’t get any further than here on the end, but I know there’s a distillery next door that we denied Ben, because, well, beer…
In and around the bend and in. Large room, with things happening beyond to both sides but we’ll get to that later. Big brick white walls with panel window rows, pebbled concrete floorings, rows of pillars, & wood rafter ceilings with ductwork & spinnys. Center chandeliers & multi ball orbit lighting, and mix & match drop lamps tracing the bar. Light art and cool moss boxes on the walls, haven’t seen that one before. Kitchen over there (me, pointing) in the rear corner for the obligatory foodings we somehow dodged, and stairs to up to the right of that. I really want to go upstairs to see the what what but will behave myself (for now).
2 long straight bars along the far wall split, concrete slab topped, white, brown, & black horizontal plank base, and a foot bar. Seating for none, this being Covid life, and all. 12 non-descript handle row barbell towers on the barbacks with glassware countered. The walls above holds shelving units with booze, growlers, cans, etc. & flatscreens showing boring ass golf in between paneled windows looking in on the brewery back behind it. Slat board atop listing tap selections (beer, style, ABV, $) + wine & cocktails, too.
Upward of 2 dozen tables mix & match; high, low, shared, & shorty, here and wrapped around to the entranceway, including some tucked into nooks and private areas. We took over the corner cushy chairs next to the forward faux fireplace.
15 taps up just now across the 2 bars; 13 beers (Resurgence, IPA, 7.2%; Cosmic Truth, Session IPA, 4.3%; Citmo IPA, NE IPA, 6.5%; The Surge IPA, NE IPA, 6.5%; Juice in the Trunk, Fruited IPA w/Pineapple & Mango, 7%; Buffalo Proud IPA, 6.5%; DDH Resurgence, IPA, 7.2%; Blueberry Lager, 4.5%; Curly Loaf, Italian Pilsner, 5%; Super Sour, Fruited Sour, 7%; Sponge Candy Stout, 5.5%; Buffalo Breakfast Stout, 7.5%; BBA Imperial Stout, 10%), a pair of non-beers (Loganberry Hard Seltzer, 5%; Arnold Palmer Sour, Iced Tea & Lemonade, 5%), 2 canned items (McKinley’s Revenge, NE DIPA, 8.4%; Summer Road Trip IPA, NE IPA, 6.5%), + cocktails & wine.
The Sponge Candy Stout was just okay, and the Buffalo Breakfast Stout was a loooooot of chocolate, and no. The Curly Loaf Italian Pils was quite nice, the Cosmic Truth Session IPA was pretty goddamn, you know, tasty, and it was decided that the DDH Resurgence IPA was also, of the yeah, goods.
On walkabout now, between the bars is a walk through to the brewery proper. Covid life eating has extended into there, me thinks. A dozen and a half tables low & hightop to the left & right under the mezzanine in full view of breweryings. And there’s something of an outdoor biergarten on the other end between this building and the next. Nearly another dozen and a half picnic, low, & hightop tables out there including the fire pit tables we should have moved in on when we had the chance. Strung lighting criss crosses back & forth between buildings across the alley way space. And wandering wouldn’t be complete if I hadn’t gone upstairs to look around. Big open event space with white wall & curtains, and strung lighting across the room. Panel windows for the looking out of and a multi colored plank base bar like the ones downstairs on the end. And slight mezzanine seating looking over the brewery from up high.
Good place to drop in for one and two and end up ending your evening at. Beers were good, and I really dug the space, y’ know?

This place was huge! I walked in to this place and first see an outdoor drinking/eating area with electric fires which was a cool addition. I walked past the gift shop and into the main bar/seating area. Very spacious place with decent sized bar downstairs and a huge upstairs being a banquet room including a small bar and a catwalk directly over the area they use to brew beer. They had about 15 house beers on tap including all sorts of different beer styles. The bartender was very kind, knowledgeable, and very friendly. I thought both their sours and NE IPAS were great with their stouts being decent. Overall great experience at a big, yet elegant establishment.

Let's talk about expantion!! Old first ward and now moving a location to Batavia!! Besides there home on Niagara St., it looks like this brewery is on it's way to prominance! Excellent beers, awesome staff, and very drinkable beers without snobyness. This brewery is the place to beat. It doesn't hurt that the owner(Jeff) is one hell of a down to earth guy. Keep up the great work....

Really cool vibe to the place. Inside is very open with clear views of the brewery equipment. Outside has a stairway down to a patio with games and a fire pit. While they usually have a large selection on tap, majority of their beers aren't very good. They have improved from straight bad beer to average/below average with the occasional good IPA or stout, bit that's it. They also make real gimmicky beers, like a loganberry witbier. They have snacks available but to real food.

Stopped in on one of our many 'fly out of Buffalo' vacations. Great location in an industrial warehouse now a brewery. Great use of space. Kid friendly. We stopped in mid afternoon, not overly busy. Staff attentive and my wife and I each had a flight and shared a pizza. Food great. Beers were excellent. Def gonna pop by again.

Seems like a cool place, but to be honest it was so busy that we really didn't get to enjoy it as much as we should have. Spacious downtown Buffalo location, with a real hipster feel to it. Ample foods, but we never got to try anything.

A great up and coming addition to the Buffalo craft beer scene. Although some of their brews are just coming along, I feel as if they will hit their stride soon. The Sponge candy stout could use more sweetness but is still a dynamite chocolate stout. If you are in the Buffalo area I highly suggest checking this place out.

I liked this place. I mean, who doesn't love walking into a bar and seeing that it's movie night and they have Top Gun playing on 2 tvs with full volume! Cool atmosphere, great beer garden, and service was great. Bartender went out of his way to make sure their cider was gluten free for my wife. The Loganberry Wit was amazing! Loganberry is a local beverage that they put a spin on by making it a flavor for beer and it was more than a success! This place is on my list anytime I go into the city.

The place was a bit drafty last time I went, but the place sells nice beer. By that, I mean the beer is quite good, very surprising. Food slightly lacking, but I don't go over for food.
End game, a little bit pricey, but the beer is quite good and the employees are friendly.

This place has taken the city by storm. Best tap room in Buffalo and one of the only breweries in town that make a beer worth drinking. Support this location as often as you can as I'm sure they will grow to be one of the largest NY breweries in a few years. Food can use a lot of work but with games for the family and a great fireplace with friendly staff, they are doing great.

I visited Resurgence in the dead of winter, January 2015. The space is amazing! It's huge, but it feels very warm and inviting. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable. While I drank my flight, I couldn't help but smile when I saw the bartender scrubbing and sanitizing the tap heads. This place is on the right track.
The food selection isn't particularly noteworthy. The kitchen featured little more than Chef Mike and some counter space. On the plus side, everything they do offer is beer-friendly and made in the Buffalo area.
There's a huge bar inside, but there's also beer garden-style seating inside and outside. They offer grown-up sized Jenga and Connect 4 as well as a couple of cornhole set ups.
Definitely worth a visit. I'll be checking in to see how things progress at this recently founded operation.

Lots of Odd beers, ahead of it's time with pastry selections. Has survived all this time because of the pastry angle, good location, lots of room to hang out.
