On side pull tap at A.W. Wander in Manlius, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like creamy chocolate, a touch of roast, and some light fruitiness.
This is a pretty straightforward but entirely pleasant take on the style, with a really pleasant and not too sweet creamy chocolatey taste, with a touch of roasty bitterness, some light dark fruit, and not much hop character.
This is light bodied, but creamy, and very drinkable.
I haven’t had much of this sort of beer from Resurgence before, but they’ve put out a really pleasant black lager here.
