Boy meets Girl. Boy marries Girl. Boy and Girl create beers to blend in a public display of unity. Girl's beer is f***ing legit. Girl asserts her dominance for the first of many times to come...It's a tale as old as time. And one Nate and Sarah are happy to share with you in seductive, liquid form. Freshly clipped Lemon thyme gives our light-bodied American Wheat a subtle aromatic, citrusy punch.

It has now been four years since I returned to an Aleman; indicating I have so many un-tasted micros, there is too little time to return and see how a micro is maturing. Aleman has kept their lineup simple; don't try to do too much and spread themselves to thin. While Aleman does not seem to have progressed too much in seven years, simplicity helped them survive their Chicagoland competition and Covid and I am glad to review LadiesMan.
Had on tap @ Mabel's Table (a neighborhood restaurant), LadiesMan was a good pairing with a hot summer day and an arugula salad with mozzarella slices and eggplant parmesan. The lemon-herb was refreshing and helped cut through the grease; the wheat was soft and let the food speak. By itself, LadiesMan Looked average and the lemon scent was faint. But the Taste worked; the spices mild, but effective; and the ale was refreshing. Balanced. I'd have it again on a hot day and when eating.

12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours moderately hazy medium golden yellow color with a small dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lightly tart lemon, lime, orange zest, peach, pear, red apple, melon, coriander, thyme, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of banana, bubblegum, clove, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of lightly tart lemon, lime, orange zest, peach, pear, red apple, melon, coriander, thyme, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of banana, bubblegum, clove, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/grassy bitterness, peppery yeast spiciness, and wheat tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, lime, orange zest, peach, pear, red apple, melon, coriander, thyme, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, white bread, light banana/bubblegum/clove, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.5%. Overall this is an excellent witbier. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Perfectly balanced Wit yeast, spices, and pale/wheat malts. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
