Had this on tap at Platt Park. Way undercarbonated and the hop flavors weren't there for me. Not a very good beer.

i always feel like i want more rye out of styles like this. show me the spice, and then add some spicy hops to it, and blow my mind. this one falls well short of that, coming across a little generic, although the beer has no flaws at all and is up the the quality of the others at the pearl. more rye would really blast this off, why be subtle with it? there are enough of those around, and these guys make enough drinkable crowd pleasers that they an probably afford to be a little more daring with recipes like this one. it is light and clean though, and it does have a really robust hop profile, i just dont think they got what they could out of the interplay between the rye and the hops. mouthfeel is awesome though, and i will continue to support this place because the neighborhood needs it and the beers are solid. any truth to the name change rumor? anyone hear?

Handsome clear red-brown color in the pint nonic, with a thin but long-lasting foam. Light body and on the sharp side.

Brewer says this is made with Simcoe, Amarillo, and New Zealand hops, and rates it at 60 IBUs. A little bitterness to start that develops into a lively, tangy flavor with a distinct aftertaste.

Almost buttery. More of that grainy taste with some of the typical rye resiny tang. A somewhat murky brew that is drinkable enough but not so interesting as a Rye Beer. On tap at the brewpub on South Pearl in Denver.
