A 750ml cork and cage with a very easy to remove cork as are most I've had from Casey thus far. Pouring it in a 14oz. Belgian tulip for the review.
Look- Pours a slightly cloudy pinkish/red leaving a few centimeters of off white foam. It rapidly settles revealing a slight bit of lacing. Very tiny carbonation bubbles are present along with some small particles.
Smell- Vinegar, musty oak and tart fruit.
Taste- Tart sour candy opens up to reveal some cherry flavor followed by mild vinegar, band aid and oak. More cherry appears after the palate settles.
Feel- Light, tart and slightly lively on the tongue with a dry finish.
Overall- I have a bad habit of aging my sours fearing they may be too tart. My palate has developed and I'm appreciating this style more with each bottle. I brought this bottle home last fall from Colorado and regret not opening this sooner as I'm now curious about how much the cherries may have faded over time. That said, I still really enjoyed it and can't wait to get back to Colorado to try more from this wonderful brewery.
