Appearance: a beautiful rose-pink color with slight haze. The head is white composed of very fine bubbles, which fades immediately to nothing, appearing flat.
Aroma: lacto and funk. You know from the nose this will be quite sour. The cherries are light enough that you cannot detect them; instead they contribute a "generic" fruit aroma.
Flavor: this is quite sour - but then the funk kicks in. The funk is horse blanket/wet dog. There is a slight sweetness from the cherries (sweet) but the cherry flavor is very light.
Mouthfeel: light-medium.
Overall: meh! - this beer is so-so. It is on the far end of the sour spectrum and the funk isn't very enjoyable. Combine that with the $20 / 750ml price tag, and you have a plenty of reasons to skip this beer. I bought this beer only because it was the first opportunity I had to try Casey. Casey is 0-1 thus far.

750 mL bottle. Bright red/pink body. Smells of sweet cherries and a little bit chemical. These Preserves always have a little bit of that. Tastes a little sour, but has a lot of sweet cherry. Again, some chemical and bitter yeast flavors. Medium body. Good cherry flavor, but the chemical yeast flavor is a little unpleasant.

750ml cork and caged bottle. Served in a Casey stemmed glass. Pours a pretty lighter reddish body with a pink hue, light pink-reddish one finger head, fair retention, not much lacing, thin collar. Smells of tart lemon and cherry skin, a bit of cherry juice, touch of oak, mild-moderate acetic acidity. Flavour is similar; cherry skin, tart lemon, pressed cherry juice, oak, light funk, acetic acidity, even a bit of jolly rancher flavour to it without being too sweet, of course. Mouthfeel is medium-lighter bodied, crisp, refreshing, very drinkable with a ton of fruit behind it. Tasty, and an improvement on the other cherry Fruit Stands from the same blendery.
