didnt check the month or day, but it was definitely anglo peach, and it was definitely 2018 vintage, so i assume this is it. bottle seemed reasonably priced at small batch. very cool to do some fruited east bank takes, this is my first of them. i have to say a perfect bottle for reconnecting with an old friend on a park bench on an unseasonably warm sunny afternoon. i dropped the bottle as i opened it, like a fool, so it was likely a little more hazy and stirred up in my experience than normal, but there is some familiar casey caked up sediment in here, especially towards the bottom, a great head and a paler copper color. the nose is insane, bruised overripe peach and well established casey funk, more bretty than sour, but enough obvious tartness to make my mouth water pretty good. the flavor of the peach is amazing, and the crazy part is that where its tangy skin ends and the yeasty funk and pucker begin is almost impossible to demarcate, which really is a sign of something special here. i still get floral honey, i still get wheat, and i still get rustic saison character like a dupont or similar, peach nectar abounds soft and a little sweet through the whole thing, tons of fruit, but it just works so well. juicy and tart, bubbly and lively but also soft and mellow, almost creamy overall. world class beer, no surprise, but something that stands out to me as leagues better than almost all of what else is out there in these styles. something to behold. context matters, but wow, this is next level! well worth the 25 bucks or so we (my homie) paid for it! wish i didnt drop it on the ground before pouring, but it certainly didnt depreciate...

Decanted for 20 minutes or so before serving.
This one pours a hazy golden yellow color, with a small white foamy head, and not much lacing.
This smells like very sour and funky peaches, honey, breadiness, citrusy funk, and hay.
I'm not sure that decanting this changed the flavor in any way. Nonetheless, it's an absolutely delicious beer. The peach is sharp, funky, and juicy, with a soft creaminess on the back end. You get a bit of sunny and honey-sweet funk of the base beer, with some light lemon and orange flavors, a bit of oak, and some vanilla.
This is light bodied, with a lingering sourness on the back end, along with a very nice level of drinkability.
The base beer is just a classic saison to me at this point - it only makes sense than any fruited variants are also going to be a great beverage.
