Had on tap in a snifter at Pour Taproom in Charleston, SC. It appeared lighter in color than I expected for the Dubbel style. Little head or lacing. Aromas and flavors were mostly appropriate for the style, but had distinctive coffee and smoky edges that were unusual and non-traditional, but enjoyable.

Coffee infused beer kind of stereotypical of this age. The well on the other hand.

On tap into tulip
Pour is a clear dark copper, bright white head, small amount of lacing. Aroma is lots of coffee and some fruity esters. Tastes follows the nose, a bit more bitter than I expected. Mouthfeel is good, medium body, moderate carbonation. Overall, good beer but didn't blow me away. Definitely not what I was expected for a beer labeled as a Dubbel.

L: Had this beer on-tap, poured into a snifter at Revelry's tasting room. Had a brownish color and a cloudy texture. There was an inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. OK lacing.
S: A strange aroma that's oddly off-putting at first: Coffee, yeast, and indeterminate fruit.
T: Like the aroma, the taste was a little strange at first, but better the more I drank: A surprising amount of coffee, Belgian yeast, fruit (strawberries), and a malty finish. Adding coffee to a dubbel is novel, and could backfire, but in this case it somehow works.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Breakfast & Brunettes is not going to be a beer for everyone, but if you want something different give it a shot.
