Barrel Aged American Style Sour. A blend of two distinct barrel aged beers. Strange Magic, a 100% Brettanomyces and red wine barrel fermented dark farmhouse, and Ned, a Flemish brown style beer, also aged in red wine barrels.

22 oz. bottle from the brewery.
Pours a dark mahogany brown, with a compact layer of tan foam. Flecks of spotty lace ring the glass.
Aromas of wet wood and dark berries, light Brett funk and vinous character.
Sour and tannic, lots of oak and vinous dark fruit from the wine barrels, maybe a hint of apple butter.
Clean dry finish with lingering woody tannins in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with ample carbonation.
Well blended and unique, we all really enjoyed this.
Stylistically, it's much more of a Flanders Oud Bruin than "American Style Sour", whatever that means.
