12oz bottle purchased unfridgerated this week in Anderson, SC. Apparently, this is a 2017 collaboration, so four years old at time of review. Poured carefully to avoid sediment (if there is any). The beer pours fairly dense, medium brown in color with khaki head. The head recedes to an irregular ring and puffy island. The aroma is moderate in strength featuring oxidized notes of leather and old books. The taste is semisweet caramel with with slight oxidation. The flavors of dark dried fruits, leather, pipe tobacco and very dry oak tannins intermingle before a mildly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium plus bodied with less than average carbonation and a somewhat dry finish. Overall, very good to excellent. The aroma is way past it's prime, but the taste and body on this have melded into a classic English Barleywine profile that is highly enjoyable.
Edit: The smoked note in the malt begins to really show up around room temperature. Really excellent version of the style.

Brown pour with beige foam;good clarity under fairly quick cap; oil slick with bubbles and solid ring to bottom with spotty lace at best. Prune and a whisper of char in the nose. Semi sweet malt, peat, smoke, and dark fruit. Medium lite body; moderate carbonation; feels thin compared to other wee heavys. Overall, a lite, easy drinking wee heavy.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. had a dark brown color and a cloudy texture. There was a quarter inch of foamy, off white head that quickly dissipated. Average lacing.
S: A nice aroma of roasted malt, caramel, and some dark fruit.
T: Tasted of a good shot of caramel, some dark fruit (plums, perhaps?), lots of roasted malt, a bit of hops (mostly in the finish), and light grassy quality. A slightly more subtle flavor than I expected from these breweries, but it's still pretty tasty. Straightforward and likable.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a pretty smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: While this isn't the greatest wee heavy I've tried, it's still quite drinkable. Worth a try.
