Pours a slightly cloudy straw color with a two inch fluffy white head that settles to a ring and left little lacing. Smells of bread dough, corn, lime and peppers. Tastes of lime, lime zest, bread, corn, wheat, mild hot peppers, floral and grassy notes. Light bodied, medium carbonation, dry and crisp.

Pouring this beer from a 12 oz. can into a Pilsner glass, this beer pours out a very pale straw color. It forms a gracious, full, well packed white crown. It’s not perfectly clear, with very small sediment floating throughout. Would get higher marks if it was more clear, love the crown it produces.

The nose brings a definite lime presence mixing with some corn like sweet grain notes. A sweet pepper note as well.

The taste brings a nice sweetness. It’s like corn mixing with a sweet chili pepper sauce almost. It’s got the lime presence with an almost slight funk at the end.

The mouthfeel is dry and crisp. Well carbonated; leaving you burping.

Overall, this is almost like a sweet pepper chili sauce with corn chips. Give me this by a pool in the summer and oh man.

12 oz can into Goose Island Nonic Pint.

Nice copper colored body with slight haze and a tall fluffy off-white head of 3 fingers. Nice lacing on the glass.

Aromas of mild and hot peppers - namely green chiles, with some ancho chile and slight bell pepper. Lime, clove, and wheat make an appearance as well.

Where to start? This has many layers to peel back. Starts off with a bready malt note which quickly escalates to banana, lime, fruity yeast esters, and finally soft heated notes of green pepper skin. Drink this as a lager should be - not kept on the palate, but straight down - the flavors reward you accordingly and develop after it's down the hatch (no pun intended). Very slight pungent grassy hop bite lands and sticks to the tongue a minute or so after the first taste.

Feel is crisp but creamy enough to not be boring. Great carbonation level. Reminds me of a typical mexican vienna lager but with more excitement.

Overall, very very well done. I'm impressed by the complexity and culture of this beer. It's a lager, but it's a fantastic one. Highly recommended.

Got in a BIF from Dragginballs76. 12 ounce can into lager glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lime zest, chili pepper, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of lime zest, chili peppers, bready malt, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lime zest, chili pepper, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and pepper spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lime zest, chili pepper, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome robustness and balance of lime zest, chili peppers, bready malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a solid malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors with no fruity/yeasty notes. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 5.5%. Mild increasing pepper heat through the glass, but not overwhelming. Overall this is an excellent fruited Vienna lager! All around great robustness and balance of lime zest, chili peppers, bready malt, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Clean Pils/Vienna malts, with perfectly balanced lime/pepper flavors; and mild earthy hops against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
