12 oz can from the Wall of Beer (SC) served in a pint glass.
Pours clear, very dark brown-black looking blackish and opaque in the glass. A fine tan head dissipates too quickly and leaves spotty lacing.
Aroma: high levels of pine and other hop aromatics mix with sweet roasted grains in a manner that suggests some conflict.
Flavor: Unlike like many versions of this style (Black IPA), the dark malts and hops mix well rather than battling each other. A touch of sweetness up front before near moderate bitterness sets in.
Feel (3.5): Medium+ body and carbonation.

Canned, but very good. Slightly smoky, malty, slightly more bitter than say bass. Would def drink again.
