The first release from the Assawoman Bay Brewing Company. Bayside Blonde is a pale ale that balances light malt notes with refreshing hop bitterness. Look for hints of sage and tropical fruit like pineapple, cucumber and mint.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass. Quickly rising head that dissipates almost as quickly. Deep yellow in color. Very little in the way of aroma. first sip gives some hop bitterness with a tiny bit of sweetness on the back end. This is weak as a pale ale but good as a blonde. At 5.25 abv I would enjoy it as a midday lunchtime beer, easy drinking but nothing special.

I don't see any bottle date on the label.
Appearance: Medium gold body that is slightly hazy. Creamy white cap that is short but leaves good lacing and has moderate head retention.
Aroma: I'm getting cereal grain aroma. No obvious hop presence.
Taste: There is some sweet grain flavor and a bit of a bitter end. Not a whole lot going on with this beer. There is no real hop flavor. The grain flavor is decent.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with a fair amount of bitterness.
Overall: I thought it was a pretty poor example of a pale ale. Every aspect of the beer was just uninspired, bland, and without character. The hop flavor was greatly lacking and the aroma was devoid of hop character. I would not drink it again.
