Poured a black body with one finger head and little lace. The aroma is strong in the malt department as roasted, even possible toasted/burnt, coffee like malts dominate aroma with minimal bread and sweetness. Thicker, stickier bodied beer that has fuller mouthfeel thanks to bread aspect and a minimal caramel/chocolate sweetness that is overpowered by strong roasted/toasted malts that has to be coffee. Dry, even harsh porter that is more stout than porter as the "porter part" is overpowered by the "stout part".

Had this on tap at Assawoman Bay Brewery. The restaurant itself was closed but the brewer, Jason, was working in the brewery and kindly let us in to sample all the beers he was working on.
Lovely smell and taste of coffee. The taste starts at the top of the mouth then bottoms out on the middle and back of your tongue. I could drink this all day!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
