Draft pour to shaker, no head, slight lacing. Faint nose a bit floral. Crisp feel with a dry finish. taste of berry, pine, citrus. Low carbonation and very crushable.

Growler poured into a Nonic Pint.

a: Hazy, golden blonde body with a 1 1/2 finger stark white, foamy head.

s: Grassy, floral hops. A bit of pineapple, a bit of rind. Crackery malt.

t: Taste follows the nose. Nice, crisp, cracker malt backbone holds up subtle hints of pineapple and orange. There is a lime juice presence that couples with a sweetness, almost like a mojito.

mf: Light body with nice carbonation that compliments the peppery, dry finish.

o: This is a winner for the warmer months. Looking back, I would have grabbed two fills.

"Mo Took-a My Yook". Clever name.

Pours a hazy golden straw color with a 1-finger white head. Leaves some nice lacing.

The aroma brings lots of lemon and orange as well as some cracker malt.

The taste is slightly floral, with a good amount of citrus. Lemon, grapefruit, and orange lead the way. Followed by a ton of doughy malt.

The feel is light bodied with moderate carbonation. Very crisp and refreshing. Mild dryness on the finish.

Overall, a very good, very drinkable pale ale. It's hoppy but well balanced, and about as drinkable as it gets. Great beer for a hot day.

Motuekamauke Pale Ale poured a very hazy gold color with a nice fluffy head on Saturday from a 64oz growler that I picked up fresh at the brewery.

Nice bright aroma on this, bit of earthy hoppiness along with some fresh fruit, hint of mango. Taste is pretty balanced, there's some very light cracker malts along with some grainy notes. Bit of sweetness in the middle with notes of pineapple, finishes with an herbal and earthy hop note.

Super light beer, gentle carbonation washes out the mouth. Easily could be my favorite summer hoppy beer if it wasn't such an irregular release.

had this one recently on draft at a bar in hartford, time to actually review it (edited on 8/8/16)

pours a golden yellow, no haze at all. nice foamy head that laces the glass and retains well. smell is grassy dank hops with some citrus. taste is big motueka hops so grassy and green, with that same citrus character, and a juicy sensation linked to said citrus. feel was nice and fuzzy. Much better than I remember when I had it over a year ago.

A: Reminiscent of a blonde in color, but has a deeper gold foundation. Nearly snow white finger's worth of fluffy head.

S: Characteristic earthy citrus aromas of lime and lemon that I've come to love from So. Hem. Noble hop varietals, but with juicy fruit like tropical tones: passionfruit, lychee, and grapefruit; pine cone.

M: Very light, airy and easy drinker. Slick and oily but maintains a semi-dry finish.

T: Enticing mix of tropical, spicy earth, citrus zest and light florals. Spearmint; lemon, lime, grapefruit. Light crackery sweetness moderates the piney bitterness well. Drinks like a blonde, but with an exceptional level of complexity.

Color is a slight orange, yellow, and hazy. Pours a two finger head. Aroma has big tropical fruity hops with grapefruit, pineapple, and citrus. Sweet cracker malt sneaks in there as well. Taste is very similar with a heavy emphasis on lemon/lime and grapefruit balanced by a subtle cracker malt. Incredibly easy to drink, but the finish is a little too light. Overall, this is a great pale ale with a tons of juicy tropical hops balanced by a cracker malt, which drops off too quickly (my only complaint).
