Cracked open this gifted beer finally. Nice and creamy body, awesome spices (cinnamon, nutmeg) on the nose. Taste mirrors the nose, along with a nice lingering peppery heat

On tap at the Prime 16 tap takeover. Pours a black color with ruby hues and absolutely no head. The aroma is coffee and chocolate with some faint chilli peppers. The taste is cappuccino and chocolate milk with some cayenne, cinnamon and chili powder at the end. Lots of doughy chocolate flavor. Hints of vanilla. Slightly spicy finish. Overall, a solid variation but I've had better.

On tap from a cask at Prime 16 in New Haven. Chatted with a guy from the brewery - I think he said it's their Imperial Stout Trooper aged with Cocoa, Vanilla, Cinnamon and Jalapenos. Mostly can smell/taste the chocolate, with the thick feel and balance of the stout trooper still there, but the other flavors are more subtle. Lingering spiciness brings hints of the jalapenos in the aftertaste, definitely not over-done. Nice balance of the new flavors with the original base - muy delicioso!
