On nitro at the brewery poured into a snifter.
Looks like a big RIS on nitro, mocha foam settles into black brew with cappuccino cap of creamy foam.
Chocolate and vanilla aroma is there. Smells like desert. Roasty malts too.
Flavors are there and it tastes great, but seems like everything may be a bit muted by the nitro.
Smooth as silk (or nitro RIS).
Tasty and nice to sip, but I think I would prefer not on nitro.

32oz growler from the brewery. Pours a viscous black color with a half inch of dark brown head. Some lacing. Chocolate and vanilla in the nose along with espresso, roasted malts, earth and chocolate syrup. The taste is vanilla followed up by chocolate syrup, espresso and roasted malts. Char, earth and some molasses towards the end. Vanilla and fudge finish. Not as hoppy as the regular IST. Medium to heavy body with low carbonation. Velvety mouthfeel with a fair amount of alcohol warmth. A solid variant of a great beer.
