Review at 2 years 5 months in the the cellar
L: Pours a pale to deep gold color with crystal clarity. The pour produces a finger of off-white head that after a few minutes has fallen to a 3mm ring around the outside of the glass. Minimal spotty lacing is left on the glass as the beer goes down.
S: Prominent cherry notes, lactic acid, and light notes of raspberry and black currant.
T: This one follows the nose except there is also a bit of funk on the palate. I also get a tiny bit of oxidation but not enough to ruin the beer. Not getting any barrel character...was this rested in stainless steel?
F: Light body edging towards medium with a medium light carbonation. The mouthfeel is a bit sticky and tannic with a very light dryness on the finish.
O: This one shows it's age a bit on the palate but the nose has held up perfectly.
