L: Beautiful pale gold color with a medium-full haze. A vigorous pour results in a nice 2 finger head that lingers for quite a while (around 5 to 6 minutes) before settling to about a 2mm ring around the circumference of the glass. The head is sticky and leave copious amounts of lacing as the beer recedes.
S: I get mango, pineapple, blood orange, hints of fresh cut grass and pine, and also very light notes of citrus pith. For me the nose is mango dominant.
T: This is a juice bomb Nebco style (i.e. there is still bitterness and you can taste the malt bill). The palate follows the nose pretty closely. On the front end I get pineapple, mango, and citrus pith flowing into the middle of the palate mixing with slightly sweet grainy pale malts and notes of blood orange. On the back end I get a medium bitterness. The blood orange continues and mixes with hints of lime and some very light earthy notes on the finish.
F: This beer has a medium body with a medium-low carbonation and a slightly creamy mouthfeel with a dry finish.
O: This is a top shelf IPA from Nebco, an evolution of the Nebco house style. Not quite a NEIPA, but not quite a straight American IPA. A little more juicy than typical fare with a softer and creamier mouthfeel, but not over the top. I am wondering if these new wave Nebco IPAs have the same shelf stability as their older IPA recipes? I guess it doesn't matter as they distribute these straight out of the brewery and rarely last longer than a month with two to three weeks seeming to be more typical. Highly recommended!
