On tap at the brewery
L: The beer comes in a pale to deep gold color with a medium chill haze. It has a finger of fine, off-white head with ok retention. The head eventually falls to a 5 mm ring around the glass with a less substantial sheet occupying the interior of the glass. As the beer goes down it leaves a light webbed and ringed lacing on the glass.
S: On the nose I get notes of earth and white grapes, berry notes, very light herbal notes, and a light grainy malt character. The nose is very pungent.
T: The palate presents notes of red currant, earthy white grapes, herbal notes of fresh cut grass, light notes of bitter citrus rind, and light notes of grainy malt.
F: The beer has a medium body with medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth and viscous with a nice dry finish.
O: This one is hop forward, but the mix of hop flavors is pretty unique. It is definitely more of an old school NEBCO house style IPA and as much as I like some of their newer brands this really scratches that East Coast IPA itch. Highly recommended!
