Sampled two draft pours of this beer yesterday at the brewery. Poured on nitro into a willi becher glass.
the beer is jet black with a dense creamy beige head of 2.5 cm. this foam fades slowly through the sampling and leaves dense lacing on my glass.
Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malt and hints of coffee. No hop character and none was expected.
The first sip reveals a creamy textured soft body with very fine and gentle carbonation. The beer feels very nice on my palate and is very easy to drink.
Flavor is similar to the nose advertisements with dark chocolate and roasted malt notes carrying the charge. Finish is a little dry on my palate and encourages me to take another sip. Never hint of ABV, which also makes sense due to lower alcohol content.
I enjoyed this beer quite a bit and would gladly drink it again as the flavor is bold enough to be interesting but not overpowering and the ABV makes for quite a sessionable experience.

Sampled at the brewery on tap on May 25, 2023.
Attractive looking dark brown to black pour under a nitro infused, delicate tan head.
The nose has substantial coffee sensations with muted dark roasted malts and an ash-like character.
There is a smooth, creamy medium mouthfeel.
The taste still brings out coffee aspects with a slightly more sweet malt base and a mildly bitter finish. Again there is a slight char or ash taste too.
