Poured out of a 500 ml bottle. Collaboration with Transient Artisan Ales. French-Style Saison aged in red wine barrels with a belnd of brett and lacto then finished with red pluots.
Pours a cloudy mahogany color with a finger of tan head.
Aroma is of vinous red wine, oak, funky brett, tart lactic acid, juicy pluot (plum and apricot hybrid), and a bready, carmel sweetness.
Taste follows the aroma quite well. More funky and brett-forward than lacto. Still do get a slight lactic acid tartness, along with musty funk from the brett, earthiness, oak, vinous red wine, juicy pluot (get more plum but do get some of that apricot juiciness too), and a carmel, bready malt backbone to balance it all out.
Medium body. Smooth carbonation, slick, creamy. Finishes quite dry and clean.
A solid fruited sour. Wish it had a little more lacto tartness, but the red wine barrel, brett, and pluot characteristics are great.

A 500ml bottle collaborated with Transient Artisan Ales. Listed as a French saison aged in red wine barrels with brett, lacto and finished with red pluots.
Look- Pours a murky caramel color with a slight amber hue leaving a small lingering finger of light tan foam.
Smell- Sour lacto and brett with a slight hint of plum. A bit of wood and mild perfume emerge as well.
Taste- Starts with a solid dose of funky brett, then slowly opens up to earthy wood, plum, and red wine tannins.
Feel- Very slick and light to start with a slight carbonation tingle. The sourness is there, but not overpowering. It finishes quite dry like a red wine.
Overall- I'm no expert in the style, but I'm experimenting more and starting to appreciate them. This may not be world class but it is quite good. The smell was about the only weak link for me. It's pretty heavy with brett and I was hoping for more fruit and wine barrel. The taste more than makes up for that. A very worthy beer for the style.
