cool they got together with the mix company, i dig their stuff too, so this is fun, thanks to my buddy for sending me out a can. a little spice to it, the pickle part is real evident in aroma and flavor, and overall this is quite good, even if i really only want one or less in a sitting. pinkish color, not as red as expected, a little thin and washed out, doesnt hold a head either but the fizziness is certainly there. it smells acidic from the tomato, fresh from the dill and citrus, and salty to me, tangy even, not a ton of the base lager coming through aside from the yeast to me of all things, they maybe could have brought a little more to the table there. the flavor is cool, pickle juice, tomato, celery salt maybe, black pepper too, pickled bean, maybe caraway, its complex in the tomato part, but really minimal on the beer side unfortunately, its not quite right to me, less beery than i want it to be, but no denying this real dill stuff is nice, i just think id rather mix my own. some moderate spice in nose and taste too, a fresh chili pepper vibe, warm in the throat but not too hot to drink, and honestly this is still refreshing to me, seems like natural ingredients across the board too, so credit for that. cool drying finish with a little pils malt i think peaking through, some salt, and the acidic pep of the tomato. really different and good, but a small doses thing. cool effort though, i applaud this, and think we will see a lot more like it emerge in the next couple years, this space is getting hot!
