probably my favorite beer at baere last night. this is one of their three saisons they have going, but i like it the best i think. it has a delicate french strain in it, not as winey or sharp as the 3711, and if is that, i suspect it was fermented rather cool, because its so much more appealing and gentle to me. the beer is a dull straw color with a short lived inch of white head, but its not lacking carbonation at all. grassy hop notes and farmy yeast esters go together really well. wheat and pils base is plenty big, and at almost 7% abv, it seems just right for having a few of. a potentially very cool beer with food too, seafood comes to mind, but weird cheese and crusty bread would also be really nice. i like that its a little bigger in strength and body, and find it distinct enough from the other saisons out there. its got a real creamy feel to it, as do many of the beers here, which is flattering to the flavors here, makes it richer and a touch sweeter. very good brew, but i was impressed with just about all of them at baere...
