a west coast style pale ale here (which is to say that its clear), with citra hops leading the way. its balanced and drinkable and somewhat bigger to drink on than its listed at both in terms of abv and hop intensity, very much ipa-esque for me, especially as it warms and some of the bitterness come up. its honey to orange colored, with most of an inch of white head and a seriously dry hopped nose, lemon and lemongrass, sweet orange peel and hash oil, good depth and density, more dynamic than i have known citra to be in other beers focused on it, which is a testament to the brewer, especially when i taste it and it has some bitterness, rarely do these ever have any hoppy pop at the end, thankful for it here. light mango, peach, and citrus in the taste, good balance from a slightly richer barley base, and a curiously low abv, although this does finish kind of dry and summery, just more flavorful and interesting than most of them are at this modest strength. juicy even its so fresh, but good grain balance. overall an excellent local pale ale here, better than its ratings. these guys always seem to fly under the radar but are definitely making some of the best beers in denver!
