straight up, these guys deserve more attention from the beer community. every beer i have ever consumed in here has been great, but a whole lot of them have been spectacular. furthermore, anything alice cooper related scores points with me. this is a cool ipa, several hop strains come together real well, and its accentuated by some citrus zest according to the gentleman behind the bar. bright orange color to it, perfectly clear but a little deeper in color than other india pale ales, and holding a nice tall white head. smells and tastes great, i was surprised i didnt get more citrus from either sense of mine, i get the pithy grapefruit bitterness, but its way behind the hops, and as it probably should be in an ipa. we are getting carried away with fruiting them lately, so this is cool use of restraint, and it might not even be readily apparent if i wasnt looking for it. the hops are good, something aggressive like a warrior or something, matched up with something a little more fruity, like an amarillo, but to guess at varietals would be futile, because this beer is so much more about the whole than its parts, very cohesive and well built. there might be a touch more body than i prefer, but its wintery and summery at the same time, and i like it quite a bit. my only complaint here that holds any water is that i wish it was served in a pint glass instead of a small globe...
