i reckon these guys are among the most underrated here in colorado. they have been making cool ber since the start, always evolving, and making creative stuff like this one, a pumpkin wild beer with brett and spices. pretty interesting stuff, burnt orange in color with a little haze and a lot of puffy white head. smells and tastes pretty acidic, slight cider vinegar notes to it, but also a rustic saisony sort of brett, and a lot of earthy pumpkin, sweet caramelized malts, and a fall spice compexion. there is a whole lot going on here, but it iss all very well in balance, and the beer drinks easy despite being so interesting, a very cohesive final product here. the spices are not too much, subtle cinnamon leads the way, and there is a nice round malt quality about it that really makes it autumnal even without the spice and pumpkin. the sourness is moderate, clean here, and oddly enough fitting. maybe beers like th stuff boulevard, almanac, and cascade have been doing for a few yeears have conditioned me to like sourness in a pumpkin flavored beer, but these guys have it as well dialed as the bigger names. very impressed with this, and with fiction in general. not to be missed!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
