nothing wrong with this kolsch style beer from the brand new goldspot, just that there isnt much to it, boring for sure, but refreshing and well enough made. this was my first beer from here, and it was underwhelming not because it was bad but because there is nothing at all about it that is interesting or inventive in the least, its a watery kolsch, thats it. clear blonde, very light body, well carbonated and clean finishing. some grassy earthy hops on the back end, but fully in line with the style. not much to the grain base, there really is no body at all here, and not much flavor either. good for hot weather, less impressive on a chilly spring night. this wasnt the worst beer i had at goldspot, but it was absolutely the least interesting. why open yet another brewery here to make a beer like this? it contributes nothing.
