Would absolutely adore this as a porter, still a great ale though.

a really cool beer, easily the best of the stuff i had here. i am surprised these guys dont get more love, all the beer was solid. this is a cool one, a blonde beer with huge vanilla and coffee flavor, it really does resemble the dessert very well. the coffee is prominent in this, strong and a little sweet like a latte, deep deep roast in such a pale beer, no acidity, dosed really nicely. the vanilla balances some of the bitter in the coffee, and actually seems to bring a little sweetness out of the malt here as well, which works in this context. there is a richness and a creaminess to this which is quite uncommon in sch an easy drinking blonde ale, its cool that its simultaneously light and complex, bold but easy going. carbonation is nice and i like the sweetness with the coffee on the back end. impressive beer overall, very original in terms of style and ingredients, and something that i think deserves more attention than it gets. nicely done, i will look forward to my next pint of it.
