On tap at June Lake Brewing
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces beautifully.
S: Grassy, slightly dank earthy herbal, resinous pine, citrus zest, a little underlying tropical and stone fruit, and biscuits bready malt.
T: Citrus, tangerine, grapefruit, and lemon, citrus, tangerine, grapefruit, and lemon, grassy herbal earthy slightly dank notes, light underlying tropical and stone fruit, peach, apricot, passion fruit, pineapple, and guava, slightly earthy, biscuity bready malt, and a dry finish.
M: Medium body, slightly prickly moderate carbonation.
O: Really solid proper West Coast IPA. I'm not usually the biggest fan of Idaho 7 and HBC 586, but the unique notes they bring work together really nicely here.
2025 Update: On Tap at JLB
I think the citrus pops a bit more up front this time around, but the resinous and herbal notes are definitely still there and come out more as it warms. Not my favorite thing they have on tap, but I wouldn't turn it down if it was put in front of me.
